This is just about the best kept free software secret handshake out there. Grisoft buries this link so keep it. So far so good for us! At least five years now.

This is another of our faves for everyday use on everyday pc's. You need to do your own research and decide if you need more. And they've definitely been busy upgrading their Pro packages since I last looked! I can tell you from a support stand point we've run into far fewer issues with Zone Labs than with Norton.

I cannot say enough good things! Move your productivity far beyond tabbed browsing. I'll have to do a 13 Fave Firefox Add On's (Extensions) one week soon.
- Thunderbird - Reclaim your inbox / 07_01_18 Free Computer Software
They aren't kidding! I completely control my NiNe e-mail accounts. With 53 Filters (and counting). One of my fave features: Some of my accounts I only download the headers (I only see the to and from and subject line). I especially use this with my email address that I use to sign up for "stupid annoying" memberships ... like newspapers. Thunderbird also blocks images in email that might be considered junk.
- Cerulean Studios: Creators of Trillian and Trillian Pro Instant Messengers / 07_01_18
A very cool program that allows you to chat with all of your AIM, Yahoo, MSN, etc buddies -- in one program. I don't use it as often lately since I found Meebo BUT Trillion supports file transfer and Meebo does not. When I was going through my list of programs to make this list, I ran across this one. I had totally forgotten it because I downloaded it in the middle of the mass confusion of my move from Oregon to NY. One of my fave things is that it includes Strong's dictionary.

- True Launch Bar - Superior replacement for standard Quick Launch / 07_01_18 Free Computer Software
This one is no longer free after the 30 day trial but it is still worth mentioning. My fave feature is that I can arrange my shortcuts into folders. Besides, look at all the little plug-ins you can get for it!
- VCOM - Reviews PowerDesk / 07_01_18 Free Computer Software
I use the free version mainly for zip capabilities and to view the File Tree in two panels. My husband uses the pro version. The pro version has all the best bells and whistles. This program takes practice but it is oooh so worth it if you are stuck with a hunk-o-junk camera or you have a batch of high ISO images.
- Picasa - Picture Simplicity / 07_01_18 Photography Free Computer Software
Photoshop it ain't ... but we're talking free. And Easy. It is very easy to work with and has some good interfaces to get pics to the web, to various photo printing companies, and from your camera. These are ... take your pick ... fun, cool, useful, fun, cool, productive, fun, cool, photo friendly. I pick a lot of fun and cool ones. Like some days ... I feel a little spacey so ... I can just let the universe float on my desktop. But some days I need a timer (ok every day). And some times I need photo cropper guides.

I have this secret dream to be able to publish one of my works, but I'm so afraid of the failure/rejection and really, the whole process of finding a publisher etc is overwhelming that I wouldn't know where to begin. Excuses, I know. I just need to suck it up and begin looking around. :)
I also bookmarked the Yahoo Widgets page. That looks pretty cool.
