I've not been out on the web as much as usual since Billy was home on vacation. We just kept finding lots of things to do. Go figure.
So on Tuesday afternoon I kind of panicked. I had exactly precisely ONE del.icio.us tag for this week: Sophie's post (below). So ... I decided it was time for "a one hour tour." "A one hour tour" means that I start at one site and just start surfing about ... with the goal of leaving each site rather quickly. I'm horrible at the quickly part as you will see...
If There Was Ever a Saint « A Hole in the Fence / AHoleInTheFenceGenerosityOp07_01_04 If you or anyone close to you has ever had a "medically fragile child," then you are aware of how overwhelming the situation can be. What if ... what if it was beyond you or yours to care for the child? What if you needed a saint for your child? What if you could help provide help for medically fragile children right in there in Georgia, the US?
Creature Bug / ckMonAHoleInTheFence07_01_04 LOL ROTF ... ok so how many of you would blog while in labor? Twice? Thrice? AND be funny? I love this woman! Just start at Dec 19 and read up ... Why? Well you also don't want to miss out on the technique her two yr old took in avoiding Santa.
French Toast Girl / ckMon07_01_04AHoleInTheFence Since both "A Hole in the Fence" and "Creature Bug" list French Toast, I popped on over! ... OH MY I can see why they are fascinated. Beautiful Art. Plus she's looking for others who are also interested in doing the projects to keep her company as she works through Walking in This World by Julia Cameron. She has an update on the topic. I wonder how many projects I can take on ....
Illustration Friday / ckmonthly07_01_04 This is a group which "French Toast" participates in. It was created by Penelope Dullaghan. She started out with a very warm, small, and intimate web site at PenelopeIllustration.com. My daughter (overwhelmed by school and life) watched in wonder as Penelope launched both her freelance career and Illustration Friday (oh and she also got married).
Illustration Friday: Interview with Anita Kunz / art07_01_04 From the interview that Penelope managed to pull from Anita Kunz, I'm deducing that Anita is a woman of few words. I suppose all her brainwaves are used up in illustrating ... and I have to admit ... she produces very interesting illustrations
And then my one hour (& a half) tour (resulting in 4 tags!) got interrupted. In fact, I had to go back today to actually tag the Kunz interview. BUT in the mean time ... I was playing with my email and discovered that I have some fairly interesting items in there ... so ... a brief tour of my in box includes:
Before & After magazine / designebookmyInBox07_01_04 When I grow up, I want to be just like them! I love their ebooks. I love the way the distribute their ebooks. ... I love that their ebooks are useful! I really love that their ebooks are about as long as my attention span and STill So Useful!
Google Groups: Google Friends / geekmyInBox07_01_04 And ... to feed my Geek ... I get the Google Friends Newsletter ... So, if I remember to read it, I often get to be among the first to play with the new toys.
